Hey all,

I’m currently doing research about the general opinion of the iPad. What do you think about it?

It seems like not everyone is thrilled about the iPad. They say the iPad has been hyped too much by Apple and it’s not nearly as revolutionary as they make us believe it to be.
On the other hand there people can’t wait to get their hands on it.

What do you think about the iPad and it’s features? I will collect some of the input and write a nice article about it!

I went to Kempton Park Antiques fair today…

I saw another one of these timers,

Totally rusty case, setting on / off arms missing,

Little arm for turning the gas on and off missing,

very tired looking, up for £25.00 No key. not running.

The chap was impressed I knew what it was, I didnt buy it.

Mark i have emailed you some pictures, let me know if you get them, and could they be put on your site.

Well done, you’ll have no problem now getting them fixed.

I wonder how much they charge these days, and if they are still doing the 30-40 a month for London?

I lost touch with them, as they aren’t that internet savvy!

I have contacted Alan Smith, he then put me in touch with Eric Messenger, I am sending my timer to him to be fixed, he has some spares and should be able to help me.

Im sure there is a bit missing as I stated above, I will update your website when I get it back,
maybe I could send some photos…

I thinks a small cam and a screw is missing…

Hi there,

Four levers give you two on and two off settings.

As for a key you’ll only get one from a search on eBay, which is where I
bought this timer from as a memento to having worked on them before.

I have no spares, but you may get some from eBay. I looked for some time
before I found one.

Try “horstmann key”, or “horstmann newbridge” in eBay.

Heating Control Services no longer exists, and I have lost touch with
everyone now from there, sorry.

You Could try writing to Mr Alan Smith, 26 Delves Crescent, Yew Tree Estate, Walsall, West Midlands, United Kingdom, WS5 4LR. Sorry I have no phone number.

He may be able to help, or put you in touch with Mr Eric Messenger who lives in Halesowen.

Mark, very interesting, I have just found one of these in my grandfathers loft. Its in mint condition,but for a few minor faults, in its tin housing, no label on the inside of the tin.

My one is identical to yours except it only has a total of two levers, one on and one off, yours seem to have four, any ideas…

Also, my key is missing, but i wound it with an old clock key and its ticking away nicely.

Can i get an original key?

When I remove the day night dial, there is a screw missing from the top, hence the spring loaded bar is loose, and the small inch of metal which sticks out of the case is loose as well.

From looking at your pictures I think I may be missing one other silver looking metal bar which is located on the top under the spring loaded bar.
Can you help with spares..
